PILAR SOTO

 

Jaén, Spain 1984. 

Lives and Works between Granada and Milan.

 

Graduated in Fine Arts at the University of Granada and in “Ecological ethics, sustainability and enviromental education” at the University Politecnica de Valencia,  she is working on her doctoral thesis “Artistic Strategies for Environmental Awareness”. 

 

Her artistic research is about the development of new artistic and ecological ways to reactivate the lost connection between the individual and Nature and about how to generate environmental awareness. 

 

Her artistic work includes different means of expression, from drawings, photographs and video to the use of natural materials to create site-specific installations. She also creates workshop and conferencies to  awake reflective and participal processes.
